Meet Scott Beyer, a certified Physician
Assistant with special interest in sports medicine and orthopedics.
Scott received his B.S. in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, and
Exercise Physiology through Oregon State University.
Following this, he attended the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences
Center where he earned a post-Bachelor's degree as a Physician Assistant.
He completed a residency program through the University of Oklahoma
Health Science Center and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Scott is certified through the National Commission of Certification
of Physician Assistants, a subsidiary of the American Medical Association.
This training and certification qualifies Scott to treat patients
under the guidance of a physician.
Scott is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants,
National Academy of Athletic Trainers, Oregon Medical Association,
Oregon Society of Physician Assistants and the Oregon Athletic Trainers
Association. Scott serves as an active committee member on the National
Board of Medical Examiners. He also works in coordination with the
University of Portland Athletic Department.
Scott is an active medical staff member at Legacy Portland Hospitals,
Legacy Meridian Park Hospital, Providence Portland Medical Center, and Northwest ASC.
In his free time Scott enjoys camping, backpacking, running and
spending time with his family.
