Sports Medicine, Arthritis & Arthroscopic Surgery

Meet Dr. Robert Wilson, Board Certified orthopedic surgeon with special expertise in arthroscopy and joint problems of the hip, knee, shoulder and ankle, related to arthritis, trauma or sports.

Dr. Wilson graduated with a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He served five years with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in Germany and Viet Nam. He graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed a surgical internship and orthopedic residency at the University Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Wilson also has an M.B.A. degree conferred by the University of Oregon.

Dr. Wilson has been one of the team physicians who treated the sports injuries of the University of Portland athletes. He also worked with the former Portland Power Women's Professional Basketball team.

Sports and reading are usually at the center of Dr. Wilson's recreational activities. He enjoys hiking, running and snow skiing, and traveling to visit his children.
